Tim O’Brien

Tim has been working in public practice in Wollongong since 2000 and has been an integral part of the BLG Team for over 10 years.

Unpacking puzzles and learning how things work is what drew Steven to a career in accounting, even though he’s always had an interest in architecture and home design. It’s that passion for creativity and building something amazing that makes Steven so good at what he does – helping businesses improve.

At work, Sonia is known for her calm and caring nature. She enjoys working with her clients and providing them with the value-added services that BLG is known for. She’s also focused on building strong, long-lasting relationships with them and works hard to understand their business so they gain the success they are looking for.

Knowing she wanted to be an accountant from a young age, Sarah went to University and worked while she was studying in a different role, but thankfully discovered BLG and made the move to work here. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and BLG have had the pleasure of her outstanding work for 6 years.

The ability to adapt and learn extremely quickly saw Michelle successfully transition from working in a pharmacy to becoming an accountant. After falling into accounting half way through her degree, Michelle began her work within the private sector. When considering the change into the commercial sector, she decided to have a chat with BLG before making that move and hasn’t looked back since.

It seemed like accounting was always going to be the direction for Michael. He enjoyed working with numbers and solving problems; early on deciding to become an accountant to help his parents with their taxes. Starting at BLG in 2017 to gain experience while he studied, this propelled Michael’s interest in accounting into tangible knowledge and skills.

A true team player in the office and outside of it, Michael delivers fantastic services to our clients, mentors our junior staff and even scores goals with BLG’s futsal team. When Michael was looking to progress his accounting career, he joined BLG after meeting the team, knowing they could provide him with the opportunities and challenges to achieve this. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a strong BLG support with his high work ethic and responsiveness to our clients.
